Polish President proposed not to introduce Euro due to problems in Eurozone

Poland should not introduce the Euro in the country, as there are too many problems in the Eurozone – as noted by Polish President Andrzej Duda, RIA Novosti reports

“We have Polish Zloty. Our national currency is inscribed in our constitution, which also guarantees us a certain cushion of financial and monetary security. It also gives us independence and the ability to act in crisis situations. We don’t need the Eurozone’s problems today,” the Polish leader explained his position in an interview with Fakt.

Out of the 10 states that joined the European Union in 2004 (including Poland) only three have not yet switched to the Euro: Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
