Lukashenko: Belarus remains open to Lithuanians, committed to co-operation and dialogue

On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, Belarus’ President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the people of Lithuania on the national holiday: State Restoration Day, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

“Belarusians have always been focused on peaceful and friendly coexistence. The centuries-old neighbourhood has established indissoluble ties between our peoples – based on joint families, sincere friendship, common business, memory, and history," the congratulatory message reads. “Despite the Lithuanian leadership elite’s unsuccessful attempts to replace the government elected by the Belarusian people, unreasonably hostile and deceitful policy towards our country, Belarus has been and still remains open to the residents of Lithuania, committed to co-operation and dialogue. Our decision to extend the visa-free entry procedure for you in 2023 is a proof of this. I know that the Lithuanian people also share the desire to live in harmony with Belarusians.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the citizens of Lithuania a speedy restoration of the state political and economic course that would meet the real interests of the Lithuanian people.

"I wish peace, tranquillity and well-being to you and those whom you love,” the Belarusian leader added.
