Kremlin representative: US ‘does not forget itself’, benefitting from assistance to Ukraine
By providing assistance to Ukraine, the US provokes Kiev to continue hostilities and receives benefits for itself – as stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, commenting on the new American bill on the allocation of financial assistance to Ukraine, TASS reports
“Due to its internal political disagreements, Washington is looking for different modalities to continue providing aid to Ukraine. In any case, in any mode of providing this assistance, de facto, we are talking about provoking Ukraine into further hostilities until the last Ukrainian, thus ensuring guaranteed profits for the US,” the Kremlin representative said.
“No matter what anyone says, Americans do not forget themselves,” Mr. Peskov added. “And any [aid] regimes first of all ensure a situation where a very significant part of the earmarked funds remains in the US military-industrial complex, then is paid in the form of taxes to the American state, and so on.”
“Now Ukraine must not only fight for it [the assistance provided], ensuring profits to the Americans, it must fight to the last Ukrainian. The US is also getting Ukraine into debt: the favourite colonial policy of the US,” the Kremlin spokesperson explained.
“This is not able to influence the outcome of the situation at the fronts in any way. All specialists, and even semi-specialists, are now seeing with the naked eye the situation at the front – far from favourable for the Ukrainian side. Therefore, this [American assistance] will not be able to change anything,” Mr. Peskov noted.
