Lukashenko: territories of Poland, Baltic States purposefully turning into military base for NATO bloc

The territory of Poland and the Baltic States is purposefully turning into a military springboard for its possible use by the NATO bloc. Differently speaking – as noted by the President of Belarus, Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress Aleksandr Lukashenko, on the second day of the Congress meeting – almost everything has been done to prepare the leadership of the alliance for the decision to use military force, including extreme military force

The Head of State drew attention to the fact that the Baltic States, in order to strengthen their military capabilities, are focusing efforts on the improvement of their military infrastructure. They are increasing military spending, building up national armed forces and their combat readiness, and simultaneously rearming with modern military equipment. In particular, American HIMARS MLRS will be in service in the Baltic States in the future.

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised, “The decision of the Lithuanian leadership to create a division-level formation in the structure of the country’s armed forces deserves special attention. It will be based on all land brigades, and will also include tank (German Leopard tanks), artillery (HIMARS MLRS purchased from the United States), and support units. These activities are expected to be completed by 2030.”

The President noted that it is becoming obvious that the territory of Poland and the Baltic States is purposefully turning into a military springboard for its possible use by the NATO bloc, “Almost everything has been done to prepare the leadership of the alliance for the decision to use military force, including extreme military force.”
