G7 pledged to strengthen Ukraine's air defence

The countries of the Group of Seven (G7) intend to strengthen Ukraine's air defence and increase security assistance to Kyiv – as noted in the statement of the G7 foreign ministers on the situation in Ukraine, TASS reports

“We express our resolve, in particular, to bolster Ukraine’s air defence capabilities. In this context, we appreciate the Immediate Action for Air Defence Initiative (IAAD) proposed by Germany,” the document reads.

In addition, the statement by the G7 foreign ministers emphasises that the G7 states are increasing defence and security assistance to Ukraine, as well as their production capabilities to assist Kyiv.
