EAEU industrial production grew by 3.8% in January-February

The Eurasian Economic Commission’s Statistics Department has published a monthly analytical review on the main socio-economic indicators of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for January-February 2024, sb.by reports with reference to the EEC press service

“In January-February 2024, the EAEU industrial production increased by 3.8 percent, the volume of construction work performed grew by 4.8 percent, and retail trade turnover rose by 10.5 percent,” the EEC informed.

During this period cargo turnover increased by 8.8 percent in Kyrgyzstan and that in Kazakhstan rose by 1.6 percent. Meanwhile, passenger turnover grew in Kyrgyzstan (by 11.2 percent), in Russia (by 10.6 percent), in Belarus (by 8.3 percent) and in Kazakhstan (by 7.6 percent).

The registered unemployment rate in the EAEU amounted to 0.9 percent of the labour force.

Key socio-economic indicators for January-February 2024 are calculated, in the currencies of the EAEU members, in addition to US Dollars.
