Belstat: Belarus’ developments often serve as example of best practice for statistical service
The achievements of Belarus are often an example of best practice for statistical services – as noted by Timofei Zhigarev, the Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of Belarus (Belstat), at the Development of Professional Competencies in Statistics international conference in Moscow, sb.by reports with reference to Belstat’s press service
The Belarusian side was also represented at the forum by Head of the HR Department Olga Pozharitskaya.
“Belarusian statisticians are actively implementing modern standards, such as SDMX, to improve statistical practice. Moreover, work is currently underway on the concept of a catalogue of statistical indicators. Work also continues to assess the quality of administrative data. It is worth noting that Belarusian developments often act as examples of best practices for statistical services,” Timofei Zhigarev asserted.
