Azerbaijan’s President: World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue is important international platform

In a speech at the opening ceremony of the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue – themed Dialogue for Peace and Global Security – which has opened today in Baku, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the country has been a crossroads of cultures for centuries, with Azerbaijan’s geographical location between East and West paving the way for this tendency, sb.by reports with reference to AZERTAC news agency

Ilham Aliyev noted that the multicultural and ethnically diverse Azerbaijani society has preserved such important values as tolerance, mutual respect, friendship and partnership over the centuries.

The President of Azerbaijan stressed that the newly opened forum on intercultural dialogue is a very important international platform.

The forum is attended by representatives of more than 110 countries, including Belarus, showing that the event is a very important international platform for discussing issues related to intercultural dialogue.

The Baku forum has gathered together several hundred participants, consisting of several panel discussions and plenary sessions on topics such as education, youth, climate change, AI, protection of cultural heritage, and illegal migration.
